Suzanne Lacke is an artist currently living in Salisbury Connecticut. She received her BA in Art History from the University of Pittsburgh and studied at the Art Students League in New York City. She received her MFA from the University of California at Berkeley where she studied with Joan Brown one of the leading lights of the Bay Area Figurative Movement which included Richard Diebenkorn and many other inspirational artists. Her major focus has been on the figure, the clothes they wear and clothes without the figure but her work also includes still-life and landscape.
Suzanne taught art at the College of Marin, Santa Rosa Junior College and the University of California at Berkeley. She exhibited widely in the Bay Area, and was most recently included in an exhibit, On the Edge, at the de Young museum in San Francisco.
She has moved back to the East Coast and is painting and teaching in Connecticut.
