Bee-in At Home: Libations and Celebrations
November 3 - 28, 2026
The artist will be present on all Saturdays during the exhibition.

NEW YORK — Blue Mountain Gallery presents "Bee-In at Home: Libations and Celebrations," a new exhibition of prints by Jane Beckwith, on view November 3 through 28, 2026.
The exhibition gathers recent work inspired by the worker bee, the collaborator, inspiring cooperative art making, often experienced in printmaking, and the creation of artists books.
Once a farm owner, with flocks of chickens, and hives of bees, Beckwith draws inspiration from her agricultural past, and current investigations of the ancient Etruscan culture, still an influence on today's biodynamic farming practices. The result is a body of work about memory, hospitality, shared holidays, and traditional rituals that create a place of welcome.
Beckwith is a printmaker, photographer, and college university educator based in New York City, where she teaches art studio, art history, and the humanities. Her studio practice has been shaped by extended periods of work at printmaking ateliers in Italy and France, where she continues to study traditional intaglio, etching, engraving, screen, and relief printing, as well as experimental techniques in workshops that maintain long European printmaking lineages. These experiences carry over to her teaching, where she translates studio process into projects students can make with, and hold in their own hands.
Throughout November, Beckwith extends the exhibition's theme into the gallery, itself, with an open invitation to visitors: "Come in and make a BEE." Gallery visitors are welcome to take part, making and creating; participating in the relational spirit the exhibit celebrates
