Carol Heft, Nancy Prusinowski, Geraldo Perez: Ensemble

The Blue Mountain Gallery is pleased to announce an innovative new show, “Ensemble” which will feature the collaborative, individual, and simultaneously conceived work of three of New York’s finest contemporary artists: Carol Heft, Nancy Prusinowski and Geraldo Perez. The exhibition dates are September 2 – September 27 This exhibition is the result of a mutual and unselfish look inside and outside of themselves; a departure from the traditional comfort afforded the artist who works in an isolated environment. In the genres of music or theatre this would not be special but in visual art it is a courageous departure from the norm.

Although their work may differ in its subject and scale, these three artists are kindred spirits in their enthusiasm for the potential expression to be found in this individual and collective effort. The work includes drawings, paintings, collage as well as objects such as paper sculpture and books. Inspiration drawn from elements of Pop, Post Modern Abstraction, Minimalism, and the Pattern and Decoration movements are in evidence.

Please join us on Thursday, September 4 from 5-8 PM for a reception to celebrate this work of such an unusual and distinctive character. A gallery talk and concert by the Bill Warfield Quartet will be held on Saturday, September 13 at 2:00 PM. All are welcome.
